Hopewell High School is proud to announce that we have partnered with the National Collegiate Scouting Association (NCSA) to present a “College Recruiting Simplified” seminar on Monday, May 24 at 7:00 pm. The seminar will be held in the school auditorium and is free to all students and their families.

Hopewell High School is one of over 2,000 “College Recruiting Simplified” locations for the 2010-2011 school year.

NCSA Educational Speaker, Howard Stevens, will guide parents and student-athletes through the importance of establishing athletic and academic goals, setting realistic expectations and seeking opportunities at all college levels.

Stevens is a former NFL veteran with New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Colts and also a motivational speaker.

Topics covered include:

– The benefits of playing collegiate sports

– Understanding whether your student-athlete is really being recruited

– Strategies on how to maximize an athlete’s recruiting potential

– Is Division I the only option?

– Timelines for college recruiting

– The importance of character and keeping good grades
